Complete failure of part across the weld

I purchased this exhaust from Webike in December 2020 and fitted it to my 2018 Honda Vision 110 in March after the Covid lockdown. Within two months of use it has catastrophically failed across the weld between the down pipe and the end can. Not good really when you consider the price of this premium product!

This Kitaco exhaust is a good looking product, the chrome finish is flawless.Fitting it onto the Honda NSC110 DIO was pretty straight forward. The DIO is a 2016 model.There is quite a lot of room for adjustment because of the design of the two clamps

This Kitaco exhaust is a good looking product, the chrome finish is flawless.Fitting it onto the Honda NSC110 DIO was pretty straight forward. The DIO is a 2016 model.There is quite a lot of room for adjustment because of the design of the two clamps that go around the muffler and the two piece design.Because it is a two part exhaust system it allows the much easier removal of the rear wheel as you do not need to remove the whole exhaust but only the muffler itself, leaving the header pipe in place on the DIO.There is an increase in noise both in idling and when riding the bike because the Kitaco exhaust is less muffled than the stock one, but the sound from the Kitaco isn't obnoxious or hard on the ears, it sounds a bit more like a race bike.There is some "browning" of the header pipe as the new exhaust "burns in" when you first ride the bike, but it isn't too bad.If you get some loud back firing from the exhaust on engine over run when slowing down from higher speeds it means that you do not have the Kitaco exhaust properly fitted and the exhaust is sucking air into the system. Just make sure all the joins are secure and properly sealed, especially where the header pipe bolts on to the engine.Overall, I'm pretty happy with the new Kitaco exhaust system. It sounds and looks good. However, I have not felt any increase in power or top end speed at all since fitting it.
