I bought this to install on my '14 CBR250R late model. The mounting holes are open for both the first and second semester, so it can be used with either. When I purchased this kit, I compared it to the Fender Eliminator Kit TYPE 2 made by False Design.
Because it is the commodity of the appearance which is very compact and stylish with the License Plate Light which is not conspicuous in the Small Type of LED, both were comparing and examining, but when it installs NumberSIDEBlinkerCompact made by Active at the same time However, I hesitated at the price of double of Made by HURRICANE, so I decided to process and install here.
[Contents] The Fender Eliminator Body is divided into 3 parts, LED License Plate Lamp, a set of mounting screws & Rubber molds at the rear end, tape to cover the unused holes, and instruction manual.
The product is made of 3mm thick aluminum material with good fitting and finish on each part. Anodized is also applied evenly and beautifully.
The manual does not describe the disassembly around the Tail as carefully as the service manual, but you can get the flow, so if you don't want me to teach you how to do it, it's not a problem. The installation of the Fender EliminatorBody is illustrated and very easy to understand.
I didn't need the OEM Blinker mounting base, so I cut out the Number mounting parts from the same thickness aluminum plate and made them myself as shown in the attached image. Quantity:I could cut off the Blinker mounting base of the Set product, but I don't want to be able to put it back when I need it… One of the reasons we chose this product was that it was structurally easy to manufacture this part.
Easy to install. The LED License Plate Lamp Connector is also Bullet Type Terminal so you don't have to worry about wiring. However, since there is no clear positioning for attaching License Plate Light, please be careful.
Please refer to the attached image of the figure installed together with the Number baseReflectorW122&Active NumberSIDEBlinker made by the company. Personally, I think that there is no other Fender Eliminator Kit for MC41 that is so refreshing. The construction is robust and there is no concern about damage from vibration. The attached LED License Plate Lamp is also very bright in both brightness and irradiation range.
I think that the person who is concerned about the mud splash does not make Fender Eliminator in the first place, but I think that it is still better in terms of the position and angle of Number. By the way, when the kit is installed as is, the Number installation angle is about 40-Degrees. (Depends on the suspension and individual …)
But it's not without its concerns.
First of all, because it is exchange for stylishness, it is unavoidable, but the wiring of the tail circumference which was settled in OEMFender is translated to move in Fender Eliminator, but it is very small in space. I'm adding terminals and Wiring myself. (Please refer to the diary) And even more so, I can't afford the space. So, be careful not to squeeze or pinch the Wiring or Connector during Tail cowl installation.
As for flooding in the Tail cowl, it looks like it will be more than OEM…
If you are thinking of using a short LED Blinker etc. attached to the Blinker mounting base because there is a mounting base behind the Number, it may be hidden by the Number and become difficult to see, so it is necessary to check.
Also, the attached screw is too long even if the individual difference is considered. The nut with looseness prevention is put in the body side of all four installation screws, but it is strange to turn to the tightening position. It's not a problem for installation, but it's awkward to have four screws sticking out unnaturally in the tail cowl, so I'm planning to replace them with screws of appropriate length.
If you like this design and you can understand Demerit, I think you can buy it without a doubt.
Blinker cannot be fixed. Normal fender not to move up and down. Mounting holes for fixation are Small size? This product is The car is not designed to look up or down after driving. Excellent fender eliminator at the price you would expect for one. Yoshimura and almost all others are WAY overpriced for a piece of bent aluminum. This kit came with a high quality LED plate light AND the adapter for the stock harness, so no wire cutting. Don't buy any other eliminator if you only want to remove the big plastic Monkey tail.View Detail
